Newt Rising On A Pole

Reading Twitter can be hazardous. Yesterday, I read the tweets about White House campaign strategist David Axelrod’s assessment of former Speaker Newt Gingrich currently climbing in the polls — only Axelrod had Gingrich climbing a pole. Here’s the quote from Axelrod: “Just remember, the higher a monkey climbs on a pole, the more you can see his butt. So, the speaker is very high on the pole right now and we’ll see how people like the view.”   Instantly, I and several thousands of other people in the Twitterverse were launched into an alternate universe where Newt Gingrich was climbing a pole … and we were all looking at his butt! No! =:o What are you doing, Axelrod? You are supposed to be helping the voters decide who is the best candidate for President. Instead, all you have done is to imprint the image of Newt’s butt on a pole in the national mind! This is how you help? Thanks for nothing, David! 😉

And while we’re busy laughing, there’s this new video: Newt gets the Bad Lip Reading treatment. Too bad the debates are not as laugh-out-loud funny as the BLR Soundbites are! The last 20 seconds of this one are hilarious: Bachmann: “Tsk”. Gingrich: “Can’t think when you’re fkn high. Be cool, okay?” LOL! 😀
