Here are some recent articles of interest, mostly political. I am a registered Democrat, but I usually vote third-party progressive. I will post articles which may be from the left or from the right or straight down the middle, depending on what the topic is.



Being in Congress loses its thrill for some lawmakers

For members of Congress, the thrill is gone.

 They don’t make national policy anymore. They can’t earmark money for communities back home. The public hates them.”

Mitt Romney won’t sign up for Medicare

“Gov. Mitt Romney, who turns 65 today, does not plan to enroll in Medicare, a program he has promised to transform if he wins the White House.

“The former Massachusetts governor’s campaign confirmed to POLITICO Monday that Romney plans to remain on a private insurance plan and not enroll in Medicare, which provides health coverage to millions of Americans.” 3/12/12
